The Beginning of
RAM Wood-ex
Ram Extrusion Limited was formed 2003 bringing together over 30 years experience of research & development, design and production of extruded wood replacement products.
Ram Extrusion is a privately owned company based centrally in the UK , in Worcester. The company has the skills and equipment to extrude not only wood replacement plastics but a variety of other products and material including uPVC and has the capacity to produce over 2,000 metric tonnes per annum.
Environment
Friendly
Plastic Wood products are manufactured from recycled Polystyrene using a Modified Extrusion Process. We believe our product is a genuine answer to the fight against deforestation of our hardwood forests, with the added benefit of using 85% recycled polystyrene that predominantly comes from waste packaging.
There is a growing need, due to legislation, for packaging companies to recover polystyrene packaging for reprocessing, we use this reprocessed material. Recyclable during manufacture and after use. No need to use stains on the product as colours are achieved during manufacture: the water cooling process used is a sealed system, which minimises water consumption and the profile tooling can be manufactured from recycled alloys or steel.
